Kangaroos can only hop forward

I'm an Australian citizen but my family moved when I was four, and I hadn't lived there since. Last year I quit my job at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C., married a Macedonian quasi-hippie almost as directionless as me, got him a spouse visa, and decided to move back "home." (Insert long philosophical rambling on meaning of "home" here, a subject my subconscious has been digesting for as long as I can remember...)

I miss all my friends in the States very, very much. Hopefully this will be a way to keep in better touch...
